VLSP 2026 - Call for participation

The 12th Workshop on Vietnamese Language and Speech Processing (VLSP 2026)

Workshop date: Nov 15, 2026 - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Venue: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. (Hybrid mode)

Workshop objectives

The goal of this workshop series is to attempt a synthesis of research in Vietnamese language and speech processing and to bring together researchers and professionals working in this domain. Since the VLSP 2016 edition, VLSP workshops have been composed of two technical parts: one part focused on VLSP software demonstrations with technical reports, and the other dedicated to an evaluation campaign on different tasks of text and speech processing. A panel is also organized for VLSP members to exchange ideas and discuss the development of the community.

The VLSP 2026 workshop, the 12th edition of the VLSP series, is organized in conjunction with CSoNet 2026 , the 15th International Conference on Computational Science and Network Intelligence.

Software demonstration

All applications dealing with Vietnamese text processing or speech processing are welcome. Each demo system should be accompanied by a technical report.

Evaluation campaign

VLSP shared tasks aim at promoting effective methods for Vietnamese language and speech processing. The organization of these evaluation campaigns, with sponsorship from academia and industry, helps build and provide the VLSP community with gold-standard datasets for training and evaluating Vietnamese text and speech processing systems.

Participants in the evaluation campaign will be asked to present their systems in dedicated technical papers.

Shared-task registration

Intended participants are invited to fill in a separate registration form for each VLSP 2026 shared task. They will receive a user agreement to sign before the date of data release. Please follow the link to the description of each shared task for details.

Technical paper submission

We do not have a strict requirement regarding page limits. However, teams are recommended to submit a technical paper of 4 to 8 pages, in English. VLSP 2026 submissions include technical papers describing systems submitted for software demonstration or participation in the evaluation campaign. All papers should be submitted online in PDF format using the ACL Anthology standard template .
